The AAF Student Conference and Competition created 12 work groups made up of students from different universities and institutions of the district, in order to create a multidisciplinary group that can function as an advertising agency. They delivered a brief at 8:00 am on Saturday and we had to submit a campaign proposal at 6:30 pm on the same day.
PROBLEM
AlertHouston is not reaching enough people to warn them of emergencies in their area, putting too many Houstonians in danger. In a population of over 2 million, the small number of 200,000 receivers of alerts is not sufficient to warn people in time to prepare and take safety precautions.
OBJECTIVE
Increase sign-ups to receive alerts by increasing awareness of AlertHouston.
Target: A21+.
Geographical area: Greater Houston area (Live and/or Work in Houston).
Budget: Moderate to Low – Heavy reliance on Public service.
